3RD Floor Art Party // FISHEYE perspective

PHOTOGRAPHS taken with an Olympus E450 at the 3rd Floor Art Party at Byram Arcade, Huddersfield. A collaboration between 3 of Huddersfield's very own art collectives; Any Which Way, Rag N Bone Collective and Fresh Kids!

A rather long blog post. Even these images don't justify the success, hardship and creativeness of this event.

With a 40ft x 10ft art wall (to draw whatever you please on), DIY themed art projects, Zine machining, Visual Performance VJing software (projecting live visuals onto a 15ft x 15ft canvas sheet) and a live performance from The Shadow Orchestra (STEMS)  a musical collective, synthesising eastern and western music.. What more could we have asked for?

A truly great afternoon, so glad I decided to go.

A selection of photographs I've took in the past month or so of interesting and wonderful evening skies. All took using a dispoable camera (of course). The colours and burn effects in some of the photos are insane. The first photograph in this series is my favourite, the colours in the sky on this night where incredible. Again, enjoy folks..

I haven't used much of my DSLR lately, but having got for my birthday a fisheye lens I had to make the most of this marvel. Below are some photographs I took one evening back home at Crosby beach. The perfect ending to a lovely Christmas break before heading back to Hudds. The sky on this evening was breathtaking, I'm sure you will agree.

DAIS Boutique

IMAGES I took, using a disposable, in my friend Kano's shop, Dais Boutique. Described as providing contemporary, independant fashion, this place is definitely going somewhere. From first entering the shop, there is a significant difference of look and feel to that of any other shop in Huddersfield, it's exactly the kind of place a town like Hudds needs.

Situated on the 2nd floor in Byram Arcade, a gem in itself. An exqusit Victorian Arcade, is the ideal location for a boutique of this standard.

Dais sets its heart in providing customers with up and coming/emerging designers labels and collections, one-off vintage pieces and shop owner, Kano's own brand, The Flow!
