DEFINATELY not! Benoît Méléard's architectural shoes certainly make a statement. The French shoe designer has created a tribute to 50s American designer Beth Levine with his latest experimental collection. The taste of these creations would only suit a certain few, me not being one of them! Although I must say, they do look incredibly easy to walk in.

lomography

LATELY I've been going Lomo-crazy! Taking my fisheye for a walk every few hours, waiting until I can get them developed is painstaking! Cant wait to share those images with you all. These photographs have all been taken with Lomo cameras. I found them on Lomographys official website, these are my favourite so far. THE Sam & Lottie Editorial from the London College of Fashion's magazine PIGEONS&PEACOCKS. The rawness of each editorial featured is truly inspiring and one wonders how creative a collection of people can actually be. This is my favourite editorial taken from the magazine, not only is it the longest (I tend to only observe images) but it extenuates fashion at its best, anything is acceptable! This is their latest issue #3, currently ordering issues # 1 and 2, cannot wait until they arrive! Will be posting images from those magazines at a later date.

heavy METAL

PHOTOGRAPHS taken from the Spanish magazine, Metal issue #20 (4th anniversary issue). I love the effect created by the use of textured paper in the magazine, instead of glossy paper. All of the images are captivating, and create moods of caution and wanderings. This magazine is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

Yohji Yamamoto Menswear A/W11

HIGH-collared string shirts, woollen trenches, wrinkle-pressed pinstripe suits and jumpers carrying pixellated prints of bones and cherries marched down Yamamoto's A/W menswear collection. (Is is just me that thinks of the film 'Kill Bill' when I hear the name Yamamoto?) Yamamoto's inspiration stemmed from the images of German artist August Sander's photographic portraits of proud men and women.
